JOB SUMMARY

Inspect aerospace parts which are fabricated and processed by Skills Inc. for compliance to specifications, drawings, purchase order, and related requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilizing a working knowledge of skills Quality system and related procedures, advise production employees of quality requirements.

Determine tools required for relevant inspection and inspect parts

Inspect, adjust, and verify accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments

Compare part with blueprint, sketches, tools and/or procedures for conformance

Recommend corrective procedures to bring parts into conformance

Initiate rejection tags as necessary

Review handling or packaging instructions and ensure compliance to instructions

Inspect Work Orders for accurate completion

Create certifications for completed parts as required

Participate in customer inquiries as directed

Provide feedback and suggest improvements in Quality system

Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic computer literacy in Windows environment and basic literacy in MS Office

Ability to interpret specs and drawings and recognize when parts are out of specification

Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment

Knowledge of and ability to use basic measuring equipment to inspect parts

Excellent communication and people skills to advise employees of quality requirements

Ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
