JOB SUMMARY Inspect aerospace parts which are fabricated and processed by Skills Inc. for compliance to specifications, drawings, purchase order, and related requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Utilizing a working knowledge of skills Quality system and related procedures, advise production employees of quality requirements.
- Determine tools required for relevant inspection and inspect parts
- Inspect, adjust, and verify accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments
- Compare part with blueprint, sketches, tools and/or procedures for conformance
- Recommend corrective procedures to bring parts into conformance
- Initiate rejection tags as necessary
- Review handling or packaging instructions and ensure compliance to instructions
- Inspect Work Orders for accurate completion
- Create certifications for completed parts as required
- Participate in customer inquiries as directed
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements in Quality system
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS - Basic computer literacy in Windows environment and basic literacy in MS Office
- Ability to interpret specs and drawings and recognize when parts are out of specification
- Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment
- Knowledge of and ability to use basic measuring equipment to inspect parts
- Excellent communication and people skills to advise employees of quality requirements
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
